Did Birds and Cougars share radios with the Mustangs of the era?

Did the 1990-era T-Birds and Cougars share a radio with the Mustangs from the same era?  In other words, can such a radio be moved from one to the other and back without any complications?

Not sure of the exzact years but ford started using the same plugs for the radio in 86 I think to some where in the 90's I know the 93 tempo radio would plug into my buddies 87 escort. I think they even went in thne dash the same way. The plug in in the back have the same arangement on the plugs the only things to hold you up would be if the car has the premium sound or the radio mounts different. Go check the wireing harness kit for aftermarket radios and that should tell you the year range for the right radio plugs on the back ot the radio. It should even give you a list of cars/trucks it will fit. That would atleast give you an idea of what radio's you should be able to swap with as long as they mount the same way.

Generally Ford use the same wiring for his radios, but since the premium sound You have a few difference between radio connections, but In a conventionnal radios or in a same kind of systems (premiums) I guess it's the same plugs, But I'm not sure..
