351c? Reply #15 – November 08, 2006, 01:47:36 PM Quote from: capitlj;112339The cleveland is a big block like turbocoupe 50 and methos said. Ford quit producing the true cleveland in 74, they are a little rare but out there. Would be a neat swap, a guy i used to work for had a 351C in his 71 Ranchero. Three inch exhaust all the way out, super loud, was pushing about 400 ponies I think. When did I say it was a big block???As already stated, its part of the 335 series which is definatly SMALL block... In fact the height of the Cleveland block is actually less than the 351 Windsors(9.2" vs 9.5")... It's the heads that make them look so large(and remember... heads do not a big block make LOL) The 351M and 400 are actually almost as tall(over 10") as the 429/460, so in essence I guess you could call them big blocks, but are still part of the small block 335 family... 351c? Reply #17 – November 09, 2006, 06:25:41 PM let me dig around and I'll see if I still have the pics of the ones that I have seen forsale on ebay. Oh, and Tom is right... the 335 series is considered small block but the 351M/400's have the big block bellhousing pattern minus the overly oddball one I have in the shed that has the small block pattern.Methos Quote Selected
