Got by rear brakes done today. All new everything is finally done. Bled them and tested it. I never knew that these cars stopped that well. As last time I only had front brakes. Next project will be Nates headers and H pipe. After that who knows

i read the whole thread,, good work man!!!

comments on things i noticed,,,,,,,,

that intake looks familiar,,,same one i ported on my 306 swap.  You can go look at it on my 306 thread.  I am currently suffering from "lack of time" so its gone no where since last post.  I have to pull the motor again.

you happen to have the CFI with matching intake ports. ALL i suggest you do is grind out the upper half of the cfi so it matches the butterflies.  Also, you have the vac actuated idle control assy which is the earliest version of CFI.  You have blue top injectors,,right?

i see you are exploring hooking up your heater lines to the AC core??

on the flywheel, i wish the ring gear was replaceable on AOD flywheels like they are on Stick flywheels, it would be cheaper i think since the ring gear is only bout 20bux.

In one photo, you have a heater core line that branches off and goes to the intake,,Whats that do? where does it go?

Did you change out the front seal on the tranny?  its like only 2 bux or so.

The engine bay looks a whole helavalot cleaner imho,, did you sand yor valve covers?  looks good!!

I think you need to be gone with that egr and put a plate over it.

to the rear driverside of your CFI, is that sensor your Air Charge Temp sensor?  I decided thats where it should go on my intake as well but i had no example to go by.,,didnt know you had the same intake or i would have asked.

As for converting to carb,, you dont really need to change out the timing cover,, just cut out the plate blocking you from mounting a mech fuel pump.  OR>>>>>>>> purchase the regulator to get your presure down to about 8psi there abouts and fab up ends to feed the carb. I would stay CFI for now if i were you.

Open up the upperhalf of that CFI next,,, you'll see what i mean and if you have trouble removing the screws to split it in half,, leme know.

You have no choice,, your gonna have to grow your tool inventory!! serious man.  Id suggest asking around if anyone has doubles of stuff they wanna sell or get rid of or perhaps fleamarkets so it keeps cost down.  You gotta start somewhere.  Afterall, it seems you have the ambition so get the tools to match:grinno:

I think they are blue but are extreamly faded. They look almost light green to me. I'll try to get a pic up tomorow.

From the best I remember ( it's dark out) it goes into my egr spacer and out back into the intake. This is a blind guess and I'll know for sure tomorow

Not yet. This AOD will only be in the car for alittle while longer. I will be building a newer one soon with a shift kit or I may just go 5 speed. Still pu in the air on this one.

Just alittle polishing. No sanding. They look better because all this shiznit that used to cover them up ( Vac lines...) are now gone IMO
