Pics of engine swap October 04, 2006, 09:48:11 PM I thought I would post some pics of my 3.8L to 5.0L engine swap. The 5.0L was from a '91 mark VII, but I completely rebuilt it. It's bored over 0.030in, has Speed Pro forged pistons, Federal Mogul Bearings, ARP fasteners and the rotating assembly has been balanced. I'm anxious to get it running...but I still have a way to go! Pics of engine swap Reply #4 – October 05, 2006, 11:36:38 AM Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. You're right Thunderjet302...I thought the dark Ford blue looks awesome on the engine block. The engine bay was pretty nasty actually, I had to clean and repaint it to make it look like it does now. It's amazing how little Ford actually painted in there! I will be posting more pics of the project soon. Quote Selected

Pics of engine swap Reply #11 – October 10, 2006, 01:06:06 AM I installed the engine with the trans attached...I have a 1000lb lift so it wasn't a problem. Also, I installed a Transgo Reprogramming kit and a "B" overdrive servo in the trans while I had it removed from the car...here's some pics.OH...and the engine brackets were powdercoated by a co-worker of mine to have an aluminum look.
