What flywheel for an '88 3.8L???

Ok guys, I'm swapping in a T5 behind my '88 3.8L til I get the 5.0L ready. (due to leakying tranny line fittings).

From the sounds of all these threads about the 3.8L/T5 swap I can use the flywheel from a 94 3.8L stang right?  If not, which one?

No....  I would have pmed him if I thought he knew the info I needed.  I couldn't make sense of what he meant in the flywheel info in the greatest hits, as he ways refering to "flexplates".  which are for an auto.

What bellhousing and tranny are you using RJ?

*edit* Now you've pissed me off.  Your the only person who can't make any sense of it.  I related to flexplates and flywheels as comparisons of similarities in balance.

Relax there, sparky, it wasn't meant to piss you off.:nkhk:

I just took alittle more time to reread your thread, and from the sounds of it, I can use a flywheel from a '94, with the stock '90 bellhousing and tranny, but it doen't matter now as I decided to not do this project twice and am swapping the 5.0L at the same time.  easier.

Thanks anyways

I figured you would be using a bellhousing ment for the smaller flywheel (i.e 5.0). In wich case there is no cheap option for 3.8's. in 94 and 95 mustangs the v6 and v8 cars used different bellhousings.
