DMV driving test

So I turned 26 on the 1st and had to get my license renewed. I went to the DMV and they told me I had to take the written test. So I say no probelem. 20 questions that were multiple choose and true/false and 20 street signs that I had to lable what they were.

5min later I take the test up and they grade it. Missed one question and it pissed me off. I was the question about what happens when you are caught drunk driving or under theinflence of drugs. What really pissed me off was the fact I didn't know the answer becasue I have never had a DUI and never will. So why would this question be on a test that is about driving? Everyone knows its illegal to drive while drunk or influenced by drugs. I'm sure the people that have been caught know the answer now.

because its in the driving booklet. they can ask anything from the booklet.
they think if you know the penalties, it may help deture you from commiting the crime.

could'nt have said it better my self.. which reminds me that i just drank my last beer. be right back i have to get in my car and goto the store and get more beer... BURP! :cheers: :D

there's only about a half a dozen man made objects that are herd by the human ear below 40Hz,a pipe organ,thunder,the space shuttle lifting off,a jet airplane taking off or landing,a large canon,an atomic bomb ignited in your back yard and the heat wave afterward oh wait you would be dead so you would'nt hear it scratch that!,and maybe beating your hear against a wall less then 40 times a second..rap music is'nt one of them!thats 40-60Hz@100+db the moving air is under 40Hz

When I turned 21 I didn't have to.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

my question exactly, i just got mine renued and all i needed was bith sertificate social security card and proof of address. took all of 5 minutes, and thats at the end of the month when everyone was rushing to renue theres.

In illinois there are 2 things that would make you have to retake the test.

1: Any kind of ticket.
2: Safty days "the state will pick a couple days a year to make everyone retake the test that comes in"
3: You failed the test a previous time.

It just so happened that I went in on a Safty Check day. But what was even more funny was the 40 year old woman behind me that failed it and was told to come back in a week and try again.
