Finally beat my best time from last year!

I went to the track several times with mediocre results due to clutch adjustment issues (clashing gears) & ignition issues (boost make spark go bye-bye). Well, got an ignition, adjusted plug gaps & clutch & tuned it for 10 psi boost.

New time:

12.48 @ 114.5 MPH.

I even got decent 60' times of about 1.8 sec.

Previous best was 12.77 @ 111.5 MPH.

Overall I was pleased except the race I lost to a Camaro SS - my 12.59 to his 12.52 - if only I was looking at my shift light and not peeking over at the competition. Drove hard into the rev limiter and I think that lost it for me :D

The track seemed to be well prepped - I think because NOPI is this weekend. Which car do you take to the track (edit: looks like you sold the T-Bird based on sig on Corral)? You would have no problem finding me there - only Cougar at the track :D There was a Fox T-Bird there last night though.

Hmm with that MPH you could/should be in the 11's or very low 12's...

Agreed... I've gone 12.23@112.2...(1.70 sixty ft)

Still great job, get the 60 ft down in the 1.7s or better and with your mph that 11 sec run should happen...

Thanks everyone for the positive words :D

It sure looks like I ought to be able to hit low 12's - just a couple more issues (like I alwayshiznit the rev-limiter in 1st & sometimes second) to work out before I go all out on shifting like a madman.

Sounds like it's time for a Lentech Strip Terminator and some good slicks

You could probably go wheels up on your way to an 11-sec run if you leave the line with 10lbs of boost.
