Reply #30 – May 29, 2006, 12:13:22 AM oh yea and for the most part you wanna run with the scanmaster on the first screen with knock retard and 02 millis. i was able to run 20lbs on sunoco ultra 94 octane with only .3* of transitional knock when it shifted from 2nd to 3rd- keep the knock at 0 or less than one for the 2-3 shift and youll save your head gaskets:D Quote Selected

Reply #32 – May 29, 2006, 01:12:40 AM its great for a daily driver- if ya want somthing better for raceing you can get direct scan- its a computer program for a laptop- somtimes the scan master wont register knock if it happens so fast but the direct scan can because of how many frames per second it records- good luck with it and dont blow it up:D Quote Selected

Stang out..... Turbo in? Reply #34 – May 29, 2006, 11:04:17 AM sniff sniff. brings back memories of my 87 GN. It had a TE60 turbo, ported heads and a 3000 stall converter. Sucker ran mid 11's at full weight with a 6 point rollcage. ajt86, you ain't kiddin about the antifreeze thing. I blew a headgasket (not the first!) and filled the engine with coolant. Talk about destruction. In the short time it ran like that it pretty much killed every rod and main bearing as well as the turbo bearings and shaft! I've thought about getting another one but I already have a money pit in progress. I found out that the guy who bought mine has health problems and can't race them anymore(he had 6 of them when he bought mine), and my old GN is sitiing in his barn and has not been moved or started in over 3 years. What a waste. Oh well. Sorry for the hi-jack sleeper bird:DP.S Nice T-Type btw, interesting color. Quote Selected
