crankcase vent/oil pan questions September 27, 2005, 09:12:04 AM I have an 88 5.0.I need to know is the crankcase vent element removeable?I have a chilton shop manual and it shows in the fuel system section,it looks like the element comes out.Do I need tool to remove?I do believe its clog up.When I remove the pcv grommet & the pcv valve they both had buildup. Can I replace it and how. My oil pan has a leak in it thats been repaired before.I want to replace it but the pan that I have does not have the sensor on it.Does it bolt on to the pan(the sensor) or will I need to get another pan.The motor is out of the car.
