hate to bring this back from the dead (almost), but i was wondering if a holley 600 cfm would be a viable option for a fairly stock engine. ive already got the intake. its an edelbrock performer RPM, so nothing way over the top.
Im also thinking that with how the car -didnt- start this winter that its going to be a summer toy anyway.

The holley 600 would be fine with a stock 302 and RPM performer. The intake may be a little overkill for a stock 302 but it should be fine. It would be great for a stock 302 with mild cam.

okay, how about a 600cfm double pumper w/ mechanical secondaries?

That's a little much. I wouldn't recommend mechanical secondaries for a mild motor with an automatic. You'd be better off with a 600 single feed with vacuum secondaries. If you put a good street strip cam in it would be a good combo.
