THats a good point. Its hard to see in the picture, but I think the tag frame is overkill.

The LX  on the lock cover may change eventually , the Blue oval on the deck lid WILL change as soon  as I find a "FORD" emblem  in script that matches the Thunderbird on the right side .... The plate frame however was a Christmas gift from my kids .. It stays .

I was gonna get the ford racing frame for mine, but I decided against it. I might put one on the 96 though.

No offense but it looks like there are one of those "hide-a-key" things stuck to the trunk.  There will be lazy thieves trying to grab it off there and steal the key inside.  lol.

Nice looking 'bird though.  I actually like the red stripe (but then I'm a sucker for pinstripes on '80's cars).

A bird wouldn't look too bad in there.... maybe a red one if you decide to keep the pinstripes.

It JUST doesn't fit the car. On the Mark, they had a lot more "area" of trunk to install that. On the narrow strip of trunk lid these have,it looks bulky and somewhat out of place. The car, nice. The lock cover.....nope.

I think now that FORD is gone, the car looks like it needs something in that corner.

When the car originally just had thunderbird over there it belonged, but now with the lx it needs something to complete the triangle.
