TC to HO fan question

Can I use my TC electric fan whith my HO swap planning on a stand alone temp relay to trigger the fans I guess my question is will the TC fans move enough air for the HO or are there any clearance issues with the TC fan shroud & fans with the HO

the TC fans wont fit, I was gonna try something like that with my 5.0 TC project but I'm pretty sure there is going to be a clearance issue with the fans and the waterpump.

Yep. there is. I used a mark 8 fan......or you can use a Taurus/Sable fan with a DC controller

I'm using a Taurus fan on the Sport. When it hit a high of 117 degrees last summer, the car stayed cool. The fan may be a little too good. The Taurus fans are what I would lean towards because they are easier to find from the boneyards, and IF mine ever fails, there are always a lot of Taurus's in the yards I go to for an easy replacement fan,or fan motor.

Vinnie makes a good point. A mark 8 fan is hard to find. I had a 74 Bronco off road truck with 8" lift and 40" Irok mudders. My fan failed after a big bog swallowed my truck. Once I got out the fan ran for a few min and died. I went to the local yard and found 15 taurus fans sitting there. No mark 8 fans were to be found. Now I am thinking of doing a taurus fan now.

99-04 Mustang GT fans will work too.  I swapped one into my F150 and have had no problems.
