I was looking at putting that B&M shifter in my cat. How did the install go? Any complications, or was it pretty cut and dry. Quote Selected

check out my new rims..... Reply #10 – April 14, 2005, 01:17:00 AM being that my t-bird was a v-6 to start with i had the collum shifter. of corse i removed that and then installed the shifter by removing the center console and seat (one unit) and then drilled 4 holes for the shifter mounting holes and then bolted it down (had to reach around the trans. to install the nuts on the bolts). Then the linkage from my parts car was connected through a slotted hole i drilled for the linkage to go through the trans. tunnel.I had to make a few brackets for the linkage to attach to the shift lever on the trans. because the b&m pieces did not provide a smooth range of motion through all grears. It took a bit of tweeking to get it right, but it now works very good. If i stick with an automatic I will upgrade the AOD with a manual valve body so i can take advantage of the B&M shifter. :) Quote Selected
