so my wastgate was leaking

and in the process of getting to it to tighten it up, I had to take the turbo apart, and ended up pulling the works out to do repairs.  Turns out the divider I had welded in the wastegate tubing to separate the scrolls burned out and wedged in the turbine housing:mad:All I can say is I'm amazed it didnt hit the turbine itself.  If it had, it would not have ANY blades left on it

Wastegate was DEFINATELY leaking.  1 bolt missing, the other 3 were loose even though they were safety wired :thumbsdown1::

This is where the metal came from.  I had welded a separator in here to limit the amount of crossflow between the scrolls.  I guess thats what I get for using autobody repair steel.  I shoulda used 16 gauge steel, not 20-22 gauge

And I'm guessing this means its a 14 cm housing??

And the pieces that were stuck in there.  Thank god it was a twin scroll housing otherwise there would be no blades left on the turbine!!
