Re-check your cam timing.  You may be off a bit.  That is where I would start off at.

how far off is too far off on cam timing?  I think that when everything is lined up the cam notch is alittle to the left of the middle mark.

car is back to normal once again.  the problem I was having was due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator Thank you all for helping me get through all of this.    :burnout:

Say, I have a head in my garage doing absolutely nothing...
wouldn't want a whole hell of a lot for it either, I dunno how good of shape it's in, so it'd probably need checking out.

glad to hear ya got it workin turbo.  now ya need to go to esslinger and get their big valve head :>  aluminum at that too
