You probably will have to extend the o2's,you can splice your own wire to them to make them longer,

DO NOT extend the wires on the O2 sensor wire as they are a special wire and extending them can cause problems. Extend the wires that are part of the engine harness as then it doesnt matter.

o2's work off resistance. splicing a wire adds resistance through buttconectors, solder and stuff like that. just get an extension kit, its made to have as little effect on ohms as it can. besides, if you do cut those wires and it turns out your splicing did make a difference, those o2's are gone forever. thats more money then a simple kit.

Bosch makes O2 sensors with longer wires for our applications.  Those are what I use.

on the headers yesterday. glad i didnt try it at the shop.
he has  a large 2 post lift. the words were flying about
hooking up the h pipe. i had a t5 hangar. ended up
using the stock one instead. had to leave for grandsons
ballgame so i havent seen how far it got fri.

o2's work off resistance.

Not so... Unlike the other engine sensors, o2 sensor produce a small voltage(approx .5 to 1v)... IF the resistance of the circuit were high enough operation could be impaired, but a std but connector will not cause a problem...

This said I don't recommend those for any circuit, as over time they will likely cause a problem... I cut, solder, and heat shrink all my connections(including my reworked o2 harness)...

i coulda swore thats what they taught me at tech school. like two electrodes and the abilty of the electricity to make the jump depended on the atmospheric conditions inside the pipe. i guess i need to go back to school. how would it produce its own electricy?
