Things you might want to bring to CJ

Every year I try to post suggestions of things you might want to bring with you for CJ. These are things for your own comfort, not required to attend.

-Lawn chairs

-Cooler (fill with ice & drinks for at car show)

-Snacks (for at the car show)

-Camera, extra batteries, memory cards

-Cushion for at the park while we eat/hang out (benches are cement)

-Umbrella

-SUNSCREEN

-Water (don't get dehydrated during the day, especially at the car show.)

-Hoodie for the evenings when it cools off

If you bring kids with you, here are suggestions for them:

-Coloring Books & Crayons

- Outside toys (Frisbee, ball, etc.)

-fleece blanket (for evenings outside)

-SUNSCREEN

-Hat

-Water

I hate to bring this up, but sometimes people do forget, especially when they get into having fun:

Please keep in mind that we are outside for the car show. Everyone can easily get sunburned and dehydrated. But, I especially hate to see kids suffer sunburn/dehydration when it can be so easily prevented. It is so unfair to kids when they don't have control over it.
Parents need to be responsible for their own children especially when it comes to something as simple as using sunscreen.
Please do not let your children get burned. I know you want to have a good time, but please, if you are bringing kids, do not neglect them so you can have fun. If you don't think you will be able to give them the attention they need, please find someone to keep them for you while you enjoy your trip to Cat Jam.
We want everyone to have fun, relax and enjoy. But, if you bring your kids, you have an obligation to them to take care of them first.

Kids are always welcome to come to CJ, just remember they are your first priority if they come.

I have been bringing my youngest daughter (now 9 yrs old) for the past 5 years and she'll be there again this year. She always enjoys herself and loves visiting everyone and seeing their cars. My other kids enjoy it too, they have a blast!

prity much everything that i forgtot at home last year.roflmao.ill have to make sure to get it all in the car.i got to excited last year.:burnout:

LOL.... yep, you were wishing you had it all too, huh?

I remember our first year there, we didn't bring anything like that either... so I try to post the list each year so others will have a heads up on it.

The way the last couple years of been, you might want to add shammy's to the list too! hehe

And Shannon.....load the car up a day or two before you leave this year! LOL And remember the camera for cripes sake! LOL

hey kevin,thats the most importain thing.isnt it?ya ill have to get things in there a lil sooner so ill have them.i still have to try to get a roon yet for sat night.i got 1 for friday night but they didnt have 1 for sat.fingers crossed

2 way radios work well also.

Well, considering we have come in a Dodge 'Catovan', a ford Taurus, and a Chevy Astrovan.... I think a Mark7 would be acceptable. LOL

Man Cat Jam sound mmmMMM good! It sounds like something a Thunderbird would love to eat. LOL

Man I wish I could come. It sounds like a great time. It is only 900 miles, a nice cruise in the bird. Eventually I will attend.... not this year becasue of lack of time off.... but one day, oh yes.... one day.
