Things you might want to bring to CJ April 27, 2008, 11:12:08 AM Every year I try to post suggestions of things you might want to bring with you for CJ. These are things for your own comfort, not required to attend. -Lawn chairs-Cooler (fill with ice & drinks for at car show)-Snacks (for at the car show)-Camera, extra batteries, memory cards-Cushion for at the park while we eat/hang out (benches are cement)-Umbrella-SUNSCREEN-Water (don't get dehydrated during the day, especially at the car show.)-Hoodie for the evenings when it cools offIf you bring kids with you, here are suggestions for them:-Coloring Books & Crayons- Outside toys (Frisbee, ball, etc.)-fleece blanket (for evenings outside)-SUNSCREEN-Hat-Water I hate to bring this up, but sometimes people do forget, especially when they get into having fun:Please keep in mind that we are outside for the car show. Everyone can easily get sunburned and dehydrated. But, I especially hate to see kids suffer sunburn/dehydration when it can be so easily prevented. It is so unfair to kids when they don't have control over it. Parents need to be responsible for their own children especially when it comes to something as simple as using sunscreen. Please do not let your children get burned. I know you want to have a good time, but please, if you are bringing kids, do not neglect them so you can have fun. If you don't think you will be able to give them the attention they need, please find someone to keep them for you while you enjoy your trip to Cat Jam. We want everyone to have fun, relax and enjoy. But, if you bring your kids, you have an obligation to them to take care of them first. Kids are always welcome to come to CJ, just remember they are your first priority if they come. I have been bringing my youngest daughter (now 9 yrs old) for the past 5 years and she'll be there again this year. She always enjoys herself and loves visiting everyone and seeing their cars. My other kids enjoy it too, they have a blast! Quote Selected
