TC spring question....

Is thwere a differnce between TC rear springs and the springs on a Sport ('88 model)?
'88 Sport--T-5,MGW shifter,Trick Flow R intake,Ed Curtis cam,Trick Flow heads,Scorpion rockers,75mm Accufab t-body,3G,mini starter,Taurus fan,BBK long tube headers,O/R H-Pipe, Flowamaster Super 44's, deep and deeper Cobra R wheels, Mass Air and 24's,8.8 with 3.73's,140 mph speedo,Mach 1 chin spoiler,SN-95 springs,CHE control arms,aluminum drive shaft and a lot more..

Can't answer your question.but could you measure the length of the tc's?

Nope... My '87 Sport had the same part no on the tags as most TC's...

My white TC has different codes(front & rear) than any other '87 -'88 TC I've seen... Difference??? Not A clue...

Obviously front springs are different between the two... My front is now approx 3/4" lower with the 5.0...

Thanks.I mainly want to lower the front by about an inch to an inch and a half.

With a iron headed engine you should come close to 1"...

Get some from a 5 speed, should be lighter than a automatic version...

Try finding #'s for them.I really don't think they are available.

Beats me but if you check the Ford shop manual there are probably a dozen different springs for front and rear...

Likely some are just a few lbs different from the other... As I stated my white TC has different spring codes than any I've seen & I've owned 14 of 'em...
