Exactly ipsd!

I don't know who makes the Steeda wires, but yes, Ford Racing wires are made by Honeywell/Autolite. They have Honeywell part #'s right on the wire.

I use Magnecor wires.

-Ford purchased Autolite Electronics in the 60's as they were the supplier of most replacement parts used by Ford .  then in the early 70s Ford sold the Autolite brand to Bendix corp. Ford started their own company brand, Motorcraft, to supply their replacement parts.  Bendix has since been purchased by Honeywell.  Ford designs and engineers replacement parts that Motorcraft then supplies.  could some of them be thru Honeywell? Yes, as Motorcraft then uses contract suppliers to make their parts, BUT it has to be to the design AND specifications made by Ford Motor Co.  unfortunately one spark plug suppliers is the China Spark Plug Manufactory in Zhejiang, China but there are others also......BUT all suppliers have to build whatever product they supply to the Ford specs., otherwise they lose the contract.  Fed Mogul at the moment, does have a contract for Motorcraft Brake pads, so you never know where or who makes the products......

So who makes Napa/Belden/Echlin?

My Autozone Duralast balljoints were Moog, though the guy selling them to me said TRW.

Owning the company does not mean the parts are identical...

I could give a rat's ass about "financial statements"....show me engineering specs...

Exactly - Ford owns Mazda and Volvo, but Mazda, Volvo and Ford cars are very different (even if they do share some component sets).

Don't even get me started about Canadian Tire parts guys. I'll never forget the five trips it took to finally get the proper U-joint for my brother's old Chevy Astro van when he broke down on the highway.  I finally ended up getting it at UAP, and after buying it I brought it back to Canadian Tire to show them what the proper part looked like. Of course that's only one of many, many CTC parts quests gone horribly wrong, as any Canadian car guy can verify...

Again, the only parts I'm passing on the claim as being identical are the Fel-Pro/Federal-Mogul gaskets (WIDELY claimed by Federal-Mogul, down to the same part #s) and the Autolite/Motorcraft plugs (from Honeywell, the manufacturer of BOTH plug brands).

All the others are different, just pointing out ownership for those that didn't know.
