The 1st gen lightnings are about one of the only trucks i would ever want to own.


I remember when those MK VIIIs came out. I drooled over those.  I see them cheap around here now, but it just doesn't have as much appeal as any Ford hot rod with a pushrod engine.

The 99-04 Lightnings are awesome, but after looking under the hood and seeing how the engine sits under the windshield, I am not interested.

I finially got 3 of the 5 Birds at the track together.

Now it is even harder to race without pairing up with a teammate.

Alot of fun seeing all 3 parade around the pits tho.

Next I am going to put a trailer hitch on the trailer and pull another behind it.

Still the only Fox Birds there !!

Well, I finially got my 325-40-17 M&H Drag radials mounted and got a shot last night of them on the Turbo Coupe.

Those are the skinniest 325 mm tires I have ever seen.  More like 275 mm to me.

My 275-55-16 M&H Drag Radials had the same problem. Those were more like a 245 or 255 mm BFG DR.

RIP 1988 and 1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC
I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.
