god when you hit the rev limiter on that thing i thought it was gonna go boom!

:D I wish i coulda put on a better show for you :D The car usually hooks good and makes passes, I've just been real snakebit lately with breaking parts. I just ordered a pile of fresh stuff, so I should be back at it next weekend with some upgrades.

I wasnt sure if you were asking about mine or Franks? Both of ours are stock shortblocks, Franks original 83, mine a JY replacement. In other words no new bearing, parts or ghee whammy parts in either engine.

We've never head the head off of Franks, mine is a mild big valve head, 1035 gasket and TTA bolts.

I run stock base fuel pressure, but 55# injectors tuned via Tweecer, Frank doesent even have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (next mod) so his is stock. To be honest, its been interesting to see how far we can take these green top injectors. I have been known to push stock parts, but this is a little surprising to me too, and i know we could get more out of it with a little turn of the boost  with my Torco in there.

Both cars are running stock T3's

I tune EVERYTHING with stock 10 degree base. Its all about getting boost in them fast, and timing gets in the way of that ;)

There is a high 13 in his car right now. We get some good air, and he will get it, I am pretty sure if I drove it Saturday we could of got the 13, but that honor will be his. You have to remeber that he has MPH'd a lot better before, the ET is a result of his driving right now, and that is coming along (beside the last pass bog :beatyoass: ). The air wasnt terrible Saturday, but not good eother, we were racing at ~2600 DA (1300' true).

What he says is true! I know I am probably really pushing my luck with what I have in there, and I am sure that if I knew how to drive the thing a little better or if Bob drove it, I would have that 13 by now! I will just have to show up a little more often than I do to race at the track which would result in more seat time ;)  I have proved that driving it is a HUGE percentage of the game here, and Bob has been a huge help to(I am sure I would still be 17 sec Frank, if that)! I never touched it shy of a tuneup and allot more abuse on the street. No part in the world will get you the time you want unless you can drive the thing, needless to say, I have TON more to improve :D :D

It was nice to see you out at the track Mason, I had no idea you were going to be there or that anybody was close enough to PRP to come out to watch :)  Stay tuned!!

Exactly, seat time, seat time, seat time. You've seen me put the car in the lanes and tell you what I was going to run. That's seat time, knowning the car and combo, and running the number.

Bob,

Do it :D  Seat time is everything. We have 125+ passes on the GTO to get a 13.09@107+ I only have 30 in Layla :(
