what plug is this???? 87-9? 5.0

so i have this plug near the firewall where the evap is and i don't know if it's supposed to be plugged into something..... i know i have a 91 harness, but i found an 88 thunderbird at the junkyard with a 5.o and THE SAME plug... unfortunately, it was unplugged too (along with some other plugs there so i still don't know if it has a home..... anyway, if anyone with a 87-9? 5.0 can check theirs out for me and see if it has a home, i'd appreciate it a bunch..... it is a black 2 wire connector with a red wire and a white with red stripe (maybe pink) going into it.... the cpu IS giving the plug 12 volts, so that's what confuses me about it.... thanks for your help :)

Looks like that could be the A/c pressure switch plug. Not sure of the wires to it. But that looks to be the right shape. That could also explain why there maybe getting 12v with the car on. Is the A/c selector in the A/c posistion. If not the A/c plug maybe the IAC.

are you talking about the a/c pressure switch on the acspoogeulator?  that one's already plugged in... also it's not the wide open cutoff either... that's a 4 wire relay... i'll have to check the iac... thanks

He cannot find the correct sized 83 hood ornament.  They are one year only..  2 1/2 inches.. the 82 and down are 3 inch..

hey, can i buy that one (with the car too :) ).... actually, thanks to ebay and THREE tries, i finally got the right one :)..... although the 3 inch does fit, it kinda looked goofy.... like wearing a big vw medalion chain around your neck (if you're a child of the late 80's, early 90's you remember... or the cadillac ones:cougarsmily: ), but i FINALLY found the right size :)

maybe i should update my sig :beatyoass:

now what i really need is a front license plate holder..........

ETAC sensor plug(in the heater hose inlet)... If you don't have the auto temp system it won't be plugged in...

BUT did the Stangs have the ETAC??? Ummmm

it's a thunderbird harness and engine, so i think you might be the winner... makes sense because the junkyard t-bird i saw didn't have the auto temp control either... thanks :)
