solid all metal motor mounts for cougar Reply #15 – May 27, 2007, 11:31:38 AM surprisingly, with the rubber out of the stock mounts, i have an 1/8 of an inch clearance on the k-member.and i have a weird tranny crossmember that hangs down a little futher than a stock 1.. i think it was home made, but hopefully it'll do what i need.. or else i'll have to make my mounts sit a little higher, and go with a bigger cowl Quote Selected
solid all metal motor mounts for cougar Reply #16 – May 30, 2007, 03:01:48 AM well i got the motor mounts all made up. i'll have to find my camera and take a few pictures. they turned out to be just and inch and a 1/2 lower than the stock mounts, so i'll just have to find a 4 1/2 inch cowl hood. the tailshaft is basically where it should be, hopefully the new transmission will sit in there at the same angle.
