85 front clip on 83 Reply #9 – July 16, 2006, 07:39:07 AM The 83 and 85 front clip can be interchanged.but be carefull when it comes to the hood and hinges. I did the swap once and found that the distance between the hood mounting bolts to the hinge were different,probably by half an inch. So mixing 83 and 85 hinge - hood didnt work. But the whole assemble is interchangable. Quote Selected
85 front clip on 83 Reply #10 – July 16, 2006, 08:10:27 AM Well the 88 turbo coupe hood bolted right up to my 84 t/c hinges. The only difference that I know in the hinges it the the 85 up have the self supprting hinge where the 83-84 had the regualr hinge that you need the prop rod for. I've also got a 86 header panel and 86 passenger side fender. Everything bolted up just fine. Quote Selected
