Well it's a 15x7 wheel with about 4.5in backspace. So offset would be +1in, I think I math-ed that right. I had them mounted on my 86tbird. No issues with rubbing. And my car is lowered too. The tires are 4 yrs old

I had wheels just like that in a 14" rim on my first cougar.

Just a quick note, the SN95 front struts should not be used on a lowered Fox car. They have internal bump stops and will not compress as far as a Fox strut hence why the SN95 guys use the Fox struts when they lower their cars.

Any negative side effects if I just use an 87-88 turbo coupe struts? I believe they had the wider spindles so I wouldn't need to use shims not that the shims are bad.

The SN95 struts do not require the shims nor do the V8 Fox Mustang struts. Within the Fox family of Cougars, Mustangs, and Thunderbirds if the car has 11" brakes then the spindles are the same and the struts will interchange without shims. If the car has the smaller 10" brakes then it will have the struts that will require shims when swapping to the 11" brakes or SN95 brakes.

Nothing wrong with running the TC struts except they are tuned for the 4 cylinder suspension.
