WANTED: Automatic floor shifter control rod

If anyone is parting out an '88  automatic tbird or cougar, i need the white plastic shift control rod that goes inside the shifter. Ive bought a few on ebay but they are always the wrong length or fit. Has to be from a tbird or cougar... Mine is broken so i cannot use the shift  at the moment and it looks like sh*t.

Thanks!

How does the handle come apart? I saw two xr7's at my last junkyard run with floor shifters.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Push in the button, then twist and pull like crazy.

If they are 5.0 XR-7 cars, buy the shifters, shift cables (shift cables for the 5.0 cars with a floor shifter are super rare), and shift cable brackets. If not, just pull the handle, remove the plastic pieces, good to go. Grab all of them. Others will need them.

Buy it Gary, all of it. Then hang on to the parts you don't need at the moment. You'll be glad you did. If you don't, I may buy it back.
