Injectors & ECU

The injectors in my 92 mustang engine are the stock 19lb/hr

Researched and found the injectors from a stock 87 thunderbird 5.0 are 14lb/hr (correct me if I'm wrong)

So my question is, would using an 87 thunderbird ECU have issues with my 19lb/hr injectors? Buying an 87 Thunderbird wiring harness for my engine swap... Should I not buy an 87 ECU with it, or can I simply plug in and use 92 ECU from the mustang?

Thanks!

Jeff

Right on.

The stang harness won't plug & play though...? I don't really want to re-pin everything.. Tell me why I should use stang harness?

Use a 5.0 Thunderbird Harness, add the Mass Air to it,install a Mustang ECU and there you go. Stang harnesses,if I remember right, are not a direct swap into the Birds. They are different. It took a short amount of time to do the Mass Air swap. 6 wires..add two, move two,tap in to two. Done.

So 19lb mustang/explorer injectors are not plug and play with a stock 88 thunderbird computer?

No they are not. You need a HO computer (and HO cam) to run 19lb injectors.
