Anyone use the All-in-one Wilwood Brake Proportioning Valve?

Planning to do my cobra brake swap in my 1998 LX soon, and I came across this:

Is there any reason other than cost ($50 difference) that people prefer gutting the stock proportioning valve instead of using a self-contained unit like the above? Seems like it would make a cleaner installation.

Use them all the time they work great. I remove the stock combination valve to simplify and eliminate all the extra fittings. Also having an adjustable valve gives you the ability to balance the brakes much better. Have a good Sunday afternoon guys

I would definitely use one if I had not already done mine by gutting the stock combo valve. Looks like a no brainer to me as long as you have a double flare tool.

Thanks Tom and Darren. I thought it looked like a simple solution as well, and I have all the stuff to double-flare and bend brake lines.

I've been away from car-building for 25 years, and a lot has changed, not the least of which is that everything is now 25 years older (including me!)

Make sure you use Copper Ferrous line and once you use it you will never use a steel or stainless line again. I have totally changed over to it and sped all my stainless and steel line many years ago. The stuff is great it works and is easy to flare. Have a good week guys!

Note that valve has a built in brake light switch which you might not need. You might just want the 2 port valve that is inverted 3/16 line. Just a thought?
