Shifter won't go into park? October 08, 2011, 06:10:56 PM Okay, so I did the heater core today on my '85 T-Bird with AOD and I dropped the steering column a little to give the dash a little more room to move out, probably didn't help any but it made it easier in the '92 T-Bird last year Anyhow, now that everything is all back together I can't seem to figure out why I can't get the shifter to go up to park. I am going to keep looking at it and see what I can figure out, but hoping someone here might have a simple answer for this issue as I have been trying to figure it out for an hour with no luck. Shifter won't go into park? Reply #2 – September 08, 2013, 09:23:02 AM Thanks for the tip. Gotta try this. Shifter hasn't been normal since. I used a hose clamp on the indicator (which was broken) so the only thing I thought left to check was the linkage. Quote Selected
