what are you guys using for junction blocks up front when you relocate the battery to the rear, any pics??

no pics

my recommendations=

either of these would do ok

"think" insulated and "isolated" when mounting as well as "covered or protected"

hope this helps....

you may find the turnkey solution at your local "AC" supply house like grainger, local electrical store or even perhaps your auto parts box store.

the first pic may be best, the second pic would be applicable to a two hole lug which would put a + cable in and another + cable on top going out to the trunk, same pattern for the second connection point.

i suggest 1/0 flex or min 4awg flex RHH/RHW

Why do you need a junction BOX. It is not necessary at all. Terminate it on the solenoid on the fender  or on  starter depending on which starter you have.

When I originally relocated my battery, I used the starter solenoid on the driver side fender. The car is now a drag car and I completely re-wired the car and now use an old stereo mega fuse holder as a connection point for the power and ground( one side is for the power and the other side is for the ground) hook ups, and I also use a through the firewall lug stud set up.

I moved the solenoid and don't want run all stuff to it, want to make a spot in the inner finder area, found some junction studs

Where did you move the solenoid ??? I see them moved to the trunk  and just wonder why one would do this. Other than complicating the battery move for no reason.

Below is the relay for the Midnighter. I moved it inside the fender well with all the other wires to tuck the wiring. I hate ugly wires under the hood. You can see the link extender i made to allow the battery cable from the trunk to be connected and this works great. I have been doing it for years this way. Simple clean and proven method. just me

did not move to trunck, i moved to back of engine bay, where the computer harness comes out.  I did this because I did not want to have to get up in the inner finder if it went bad.  but the engine bay is all smoothed out, so I am trying to keep as clean as possible.  You have a good idea there.

on your fuse block, pull it back off and put a non conductive barrier between it and the body.
flip it over and you can see the primary & secondary fuse terminals are open and debris could get in there and short to the body.

nice work so far

just thougth id peak your curiosity to see what i meant, now you know your build is less likely to have an issue on the mounting at least.

one other thing,, the block you have made by buss i assume is 100A rated, but the main buss coming in is only 80 *exact ampacity* rated.
Buss derated by 20% in thier design for a higher nameplate listing which is allowable under UL.

also, becareful how tight you have your mounting bolts.  i took min apart to figure out why the top terminal cover bowed like that and fixed the factory flaw with nylon washers inside it to shim up the difficient area that needed more plastic.

nice work though,, it would be nice if that fuse block accpeted two hole lugs for more surface area contact but oh well.

very nice wiring by the way, neat and protected.

check in on your heat shrink one day though, after a few engine runs dont be surprised if the tubing isnt strining futher,, LOL,, made that mistake one day.
