Change the speedo internal gear if you have to before you throw the trans in the car too.

I think the 94/95 cars have the same drive gear (the one on the output shaft) as the 93 cars which is an 8 tooth.  If it is an 8 tooth it will be a funky yellow-greenish color and a solid yellow color is the 7 tooth.  Th8 tooth is no bueno with anything over 3.55 gears as the driven gears have to have too many teeth and they shear really easy.  The seven tooth is boarder line with 3.73's.  If you are going to change it go to a black 6 tooth driven gear and then use this calculator to figure your driven gear tooth count:
