Is this E-Fan good enough? Reply #2 – June 19, 2011, 10:01:09 PM With what little room there is between the radiator and block on my car, I don't see how it wouldn't work that well. Quote Selected
Is this E-Fan good enough? Reply #3 – June 19, 2011, 10:07:17 PM I use a Taurus fan. Very good flow, better than most aftermarket fans and the shroud fits great on our radiators. Quote Selected
Is this E-Fan good enough? Reply #4 – June 19, 2011, 10:08:21 PM I thought the same way and the one I used was a 2800 cfm and putting around on a 80 degree day it would run at 220 when beating the pants off it it would hit 250 and puke a 20 lbs cap not a fun fealing on a new motor Quote Selected
Is this E-Fan good enough? Reply #5 – June 19, 2011, 10:37:29 PM http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G4852/This is what I'm using and it works great. Fits right on my direct fit aluminum radiator. I also pull the air through my intercooler with them. Quote Selected
Is this E-Fan good enough? Reply #6 – June 19, 2011, 10:52:08 PM I don't have time to go find a taurus fan, and the probability of someone selling one is low. I need a fan now. The fan clutch going out is aggrivating, and I want the mechanical fan gone. Quote Selected
Is this E-Fan good enough? Reply #7 – June 20, 2011, 03:30:26 AM I like the Volvo 740 electric fan. Its a clean 15 minute install and it works great. You can get one at any junk yard or on ebay. It comes with a complete shroud that covers the entire radiator area. Heck if it good enough to cool the big 24 valve DOHC in the huge volvo wagon, it will work for you too. Works great for me.One in the junk yard in a 740. also can be found in some of the SOHC turbo Volvo's toohttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/volvob.jpgInstalledAll it took was two radiator zip tie supports at the bottom, and two of the stock screw and brackets at the top of the existing radiator. The hles in the Volvo fan actually line up with the existing Ford brackets at the top of the radiator. No bracket fabrication at all. Just slide it in place and secure it. Again its a 15 minute job.I have one extra that someone requested to buy, so if you want one, hit me up. Quote Selected
Is this E-Fan good enough? Reply #8 – June 20, 2011, 07:49:36 PM I'm using one of these...http://www.jegs.com/i/Flex-a-lite/400/185/10002/-1?parentProductId=756607I was like you, needed it NOW! It's been working fine with A/C and an under driven high flow water pump for three yrs now BUT, since I now know better, there is a Taurus unit just waiting for me to get the time to install it.
