Yea, its a bit more obvious on the 87-88 front end, its got the giant cat head on the grill and has mercury and cougar cast in the bumper cover. I actually liked the headlights a0better, because they were much more clear. The wreck always pissed me off though. Car pulled right in front of me, I saw him, but he sped up quite a bit, then he layed on the brakes and turned right in front of me. I am still convinced there were no brake lights, but it was my fault, and I shouldn't have been following so closely.

The funny thing is the butter they make those caddi's out of. I went straight through his trunk, and smashed the back door in on the drivers side. My bumper braket weld broke. The shock obsoarber never even moved, and most of the damage was done with the fender, and just a touch on the rad support. If the bumper wouldn't have broken, I am sure I would of driven home.

I actually really like the 87-88 bird front end on the 83-86 bird.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Heck yeah it'll work:

I love my Thundercat. I've actually come to like it more than the old front end. Oddly enough still haven't painted it but people keep telling me to leave it as is and like the two colours, lol. It's got a personality for sure.

^^^^^THIS!! God I love that look

I agree, that does look pretty good. I'd love to see in all the same color, and take those Mercury badges off.

That may be something I do eventually if I get a 4 eye Bird. Just remove the Cougar emblem from the header panel, and maybe put a little bird where the Mercury was on the grille and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference haha.

Thanks everyone! I DO plan on painting it still. It has a lot of prep work to go through first though and I want to do it right so I've been putting it off until I have the time and resources to mess with it. Going to be painting it all black for a nice blacked out look with a small touch of chrome.
