New Beginning April 26, 2008, 03:14:50 PM I have finally gotten off my rearend and started something on my 86 Bird. Pushed it out of garage and washed it after about 8 years of it sitting there. I hope I can get pictures to attach to show starting point. First step of a new beginning for the bird...... Quote Selected

New Beginning Reply #5 – September 12, 2009, 03:24:36 PM It'll take some time to get it where I want it, but it's already been several years to get here. I'm in no hurry and it's not costing me a cent as is. Just a little elbow grease. Quote Selected

New Beginning Reply #8 – September 12, 2009, 04:04:41 PM Thats going to be a great car when you are done. I have been going through the same thing restoring a car that has sat about 10 years. I should probably try to find a set of those wheels like you have. I like the TRX wheels I have now but one rim is bent and the replacement tires are too expensive if you can find them. The multi-hole wheels have a somewhat related style to the TRX wheels and I like them. There's no telling what wheel and tire combo I will end up with in the final stages of restoration. For the interim I am going to use some standard steel wheels with wheel covers and some low priced tires. Quote Selected

New Beginning Reply #10 – September 12, 2009, 07:48:51 PM I like the looks of those 8 holes better than the 10 holes. Would love to have a set of those for both my 86ers. Quote Selected
