Yeah.......My bad I always do that. A Fairmont Futura would be cool.

just go to lincolnvscaddilac.com and look for threads about t-45 swaps...lots of pics and info. Its the same process as the mn12 thunderbird swap; you have to relocate the shifter back about 6 inches or so by making a extension housing off of the existing housing and adding in a extension link to connect the shifter. The tech is all on the tccoa.
you were right, i was wrong...

well, upon searching i did find one thread about it. it has definitely been done but to say:

then I'd just put my t-45 in

is a little too breezy. its by no means an easy swap, but finally it has been done. plenty of parts searching, fabing and modding has to be done. its not like swapping a stick into a stang or fox tbird/cougar. i think it would be a worth while swap if completed though.

i would never, ever waste my time on a T45 though, as specially in a heavy car like the mark viii. its not all that strong and also beyond that, with its integrated bellhousing its a wicked pita to work with in the car. If you pull it off deffinetly keep us updated on it. i would love to have a mark viii as a daily again but im just not interested in the auto's.

Yep, it's definately not an easy swap, but its doable. I'm still not shure on what I'm going to do; I know someone with a 80's firebird with a crossfire 305, maybe I'll get that:punchballs:

Well, in all honesty, I assume your looking for a driveable car to put this in, and not make a big project out of it.  That said, I would guess anything that has an available 4.6 K-member swap set-up would do and already runs EFI and wouldn't be too big of a c to match trans.  I'm too old school for any such things, lol.

Well, I've got a plan now! I now own an 88' cougar LS so I've got a new driver. Also, I have almost everything I need to put together a basic 5.0 together for it, including a set of gt40p's and a few parts for a t-5 swap, so I guess I'll put the lincoln motor on hold intill I can get a swap like that figured out...
Thanks guys for all your input!
