1988 Cougar LS; Winterized 23/12/07 Reply #122 – December 23, 2007, 05:50:00 PM The white stuff around my house is gone. now I have a 100' x 300' swimming pool around my house.IDK about the white wheels. might look like a circus wagon with that dark car. I had a van about the same color. and i painted the rims white and never heard the end of it from everyone. they showed up so bright they could see me coming in the dark. lol Quote Selected

1988 Cougar LS; Winterized 23/12/07 Reply #124 – January 02, 2008, 09:31:23 PM if you till your seatbacks up a bit, its much easier to drive; even in the snow! Quote Selected

1988 Cougar LS; Winterized 23/12/07 Reply #127 – January 13, 2008, 05:46:31 AM Well its about time for that HO conversion to materialize; I blew the engine up tonight so its time for all of the good stuff and maybe a t-5. Don't know whats wrong with it yet but it could be a connecting rod or a valve being dropped or a head gasket blown. Won't find out until I tear into it tomorrow.. Quote Selected
1988 Cougar LS; Winterized 23/12/07 Reply #128 – November 23, 2008, 06:41:17 AM Still no update on the car, its tarped and has been sitting and rotting for almost a year. However I've been talking to my dad a lot about yanking the blown motor out and getting it built, he's agreed to fund me for a 306 but I'm still gunning for a 347. This is what I've been driving for the past 9 months:http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3092666It's a good little car that I got for cheap, has some pep but its rusting out bad. Not bad for a 150 horse matching the stock Cougar which kind of makes me sad. Until next time. Quote Selected
1988 Cougar LS; Winterized 23/12/07 Reply #129 – November 23, 2008, 08:26:12 AM I'd be afraid to put another motor in that car. Especially one more powerful. With all the rust on the outside, there's probably a lot more in the structural places underneath. I think your going to rip something apart or twist it up quite easily. dominator had a problem like that, and I'm hoping to avoid that same situation myself.I'm just rambling. Check it out good before you do it. Quote Selected
1988 Cougar LS; Winterized 23/12/07 Reply #130 – January 07, 2009, 05:27:23 AM I've checked most of the underneath when I had it undercoated at work, the only thing that really bothers me are the doors, that rocker spot, and the small hole thru the drivers rear quarter into the trunk. The strut towers are fine, and the passenger front quarter is still good but it washiznit there sometime ago, hence the better paint, brighter pinstripe and much less rust than the other. So it seems solid 'n all but all I need is a garage with heat now, since its been -45 up here for the past week. Quote Selected
