87-88 thunder bird tranny question

The v8 and v6 transmissions from a 1987 and 1988 (respectively) thunderbird are the same size, but there are different internals right?

The v8 transmission has bigger or heavier duty clutches and stuff right?

Also, I believe the V6 trans has the smaller C overdrive servo and the V8 trans has the B overdrive servo.  So far my V6 trans with the Transgo is still holding up behind the 5.0 HO with 100K+ miles, but I don't drag race it.
