Sleeper, remember when you had the body for sale? It might have been home for this. But I think your's had a sunroof.
Yes, it is a Cup motor. Sort-of a "Clevor".The block uses Cleveland sized bearings on the mains, but is otherwise styled after a Windsor. But no pad for a filter or oil pump. The Carrillo rods have Chevy bearings, and Chevy piston pins. I'm using a Chevy clutch assembly. It is internally balanced with 26 slugs of tungsten welded into the crank. The counterweights are knife-edged and shorter to reduce rotating mass. I don't know if the crank is forged or billet.
The heads are sorta Cleveland style, but the valves aren't canted, just staggered. Late '90s Yates. If you are familiar with Cleveland/Boss heads, you'd be amazed at how high the ports have been raised. They have 2.150 intake valves and 1.625 exhaust, Jesel shaft rockers.
I have a crank trigger for it rather than a typical distributor, but not sure how that will work out yet.
Not sure what I will run for a carburetor.

.... Only 12-1 compression.
Ernie told me to watch the power curve on the dyno, but don't be afraid to turn it 9500rpm. He built one nearly identical for one of the Atlanta Braves baseball players and it made 725hp, but my carb is better. But I'll be using a different dyno too.
We'll see.
I started building up another 302, and was hoping for 350-400hp. But I sort of stumbled into some deals on these parts and the project snowballed......

Thats one hell of a snowball! more like an avalanch. Really cool project you have there keep the pics coming! I can't wait to see a video on this bad boy!
