I have never seen such a fantastic parts list for any other type of vehicle on the web.  Mustang guys have something to be jealous about....;)

LOL Thanks. I got most of the info from crash sheets and it seems to be mostly correct. There are a few things that don't jive well to me...they have to be mistakes but I have no way to corroborate that yet, so for now, what's there is the best known list of part numbers available. Also, I'm sure Brent has access to more things than I do. Hopefully in the future we can get together and fill in some of the blanks, double-check things, etc. It's going to be a "work in progress" probably for a few more years and input is always appreciated.

I had a few goals with the part number pages: first and foremost, to make sure that everyone can communicate with some base of reference. Now you understand why I say things are different; the part numbers tell a good deal of every part's story. Second, so that people looking up part numbers for our cars on the Internet will find that page for verification/legitimacy. Third, so that people with mobile devices that have Internet capability can access that page at any time, in case something needs to be checked, say, at a swap meet or on an eBay auction. I'm thinking about (finally) doing a mobile-only version of the site and those part number pages are the top priority. Eventually I'd like to add some photos where possible.

The crash sheets are the same ones you can occasionally find on eBay. There are reference drawings on them, but they're way too small to effectively scan. Same for the part numbers; they were just too small for any OCR program to pick up. So those are all input by hand...hey, I'm Catholic so I'm used to ic things. Oh wait...shouldn't have said that. Another thing on the list to burn in hell for LOL. I started the 1983-86 page two years ago (January 2006). It was finished on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 then I copied the page to use for 1987-88 part numbers. Oddly, it only took another 2-3 hours to complete that page. I didn't expect to have both pages completely finished for the relaunched site but luck apparently was on my side.

So...use the living  out of those pages. That's what they're there for. :D

That is awesome Eric. I remember years back before i joined the board in High school screwing around on the computers in English reading up on the foxes and checking out pictures that were posted on cool cats instead of doing my assignments.
