Posting something in the lounge is not a no-no. Posting something in a lounge, then getting all pissy and defensive when somebody points out that it's old news, is. You asked if we'd seen it. Chuck replied to the question you asked, in no particularly rude manner, that we, as a forum, had indeed seen it. You got all pissy with Chuck, so I showed you that it had been posted before.

Seriously - wouldn't "OK, well, here it is again for those of you who hadn't seen it" been a better response than "I see you speak for everyone. I guess new from Tulsa travels to Indy faster than it travels to Baltimore. Next time, I'll ask "we" first."?

You know, I woke up this morning in a much better mood then I was in last night--and I was going to post an apology to you and to Chuck W. I may have been a little pissy, but ,in general from alot of the posts on this thread many had not seen this story. To generalize every member into the "yeah we've seen it" catagory is an assumption. You know what happens when you assume. ASS U ME.
I will apologize to Chuck W. Sorry Chuck! I'm 31 years old and do not need a father figure in cyber space telling me how I should respond to someone in a post. If thats how we are playing this game then how about if someone posts a story on this forum that you already know about, then skip it. Don't respond at all and move on to the next tread. The first sentence in the post was addressed to anyone who had or had not seen the story. How's this-"Who hasn't seen the story of the buried car?" I will try to be more specific. If I ruffled any feathers, including yours Thunder Chicken, I offer my sincerest apologies.:dunce:

Neither did I. Fox news doesn't bother with that stuff and the only mag i read is MM&FF.

Lol - Faux "news" - no wonder - RW news for those who have a thing against thinking for themselves

The first sentence in your post was a question. Chuck answered it. You got pissy with him for doing so. If you didn't want to be answered, why'd you ask the question to begin with?

It wasn't your original post that was the problem. It was your reaction to Chuck's answering your question, and then your reaction to me for pointing out how rude you were in your response.

I repeat my question to you: Wouldn't "OK, well, here it is again for those of you who hadn't seen it" have been a better response than "I see you speak for everyone. I guess new from Tulsa travels to Indy faster than it travels to Baltimore. Next time, I'll ask "we" first."?

Well I'm 39 and I don't need a whiny little brother figure in cyber space telling me how I should respond to someone's post either....

This has really become a sad sad story. I was big enough to apologize for my responses. This will be the last words I leave in this thread. I am hoping we can all be adults and let the water run under the bridge and be pals. No hard feelings...:D
