New TC Gauge Faces Reply #18 – August 16, 2007, 07:01:06 AM O.K.,i like the gauges,Those would be great except for the tach. Can you make the tach for a Sport (No boost)? How much? What are they made of?How long would they last? Thanks. Quote Selected
New TC Gauge Faces Reply #19 – August 16, 2007, 09:18:13 AM Just an FYI to those who care, the actual green coloration of the stock gauge faces is sandwiched in between the factory face and the clear plastic backing that they are attached to. From the looks of it it'd be nearly impossible to remove. Also the stock cluster lighting sucks, so if you can make it look good that would be quite a feat.I have custom white-face Indiglos in mine right now that Panther37 made me, and anyone who installs indiglos without a dimmer is nuts IMO. I have a dimmer on mine and keep them turned down pretty far most of the time. On full brightness they are blinding. Quote Selected
New TC Gauge Faces Reply #20 – August 16, 2007, 05:16:02 PM Well,I'm not doing anything to my 140mph speedo unless I'm SURE everything will be as close to perfect as it can be. Quote Selected
New TC Gauge Faces Reply #21 – August 16, 2007, 05:34:35 PM Some projects have jumped ahead of the gauges for now. I will post up more pictures when i finally get a set installed. I am also going to look into modifying the standard gauge into a 150 mph. I am not asking anyone to sacrifice their 150 mph gauges by any means. I was just pointing out that the indigos i had for my TB-SC were inaccurate and obnoxious (even with a dimmer). As for accuracy, I'm A EE/CPE and very buttstuff retentive so i will tweak until everything lines up nicely. -DZ Quote Selected

New TC Gauge Faces Reply #23 – August 16, 2007, 07:16:58 PM Vinninetbird it is easy to make sure it is accurate. Peel your factory 140mph face and put it in your scanner and scan it. Then you take it over to Adobe and mod it how ever you want. As long as you don't mess with the spacing on the speedo or tach you should be fine. That is how I made mine for my 84 and I haven't been pulled over for speeding or anything so I would say they are dead on. Quote Selected
