Any NFS I'd call Aracadish, but a true sim like GT? Realism in vehicle dynamics is the entire point of the game. I'd have to disagree.

Mine keeps getting the disc read error.  I've sent it back 2 times already for the same thing.

A couple of years ago my PS2 started making some strange and kind of scary noises on some discs, and then I ran into disc read errors as well. I was told that it would need fixing by a professional and it would cost a minimum of $60 to do so with no guarantees of a cure. It was out of warranty so I figured I had nothing to loose by taking it apart myself. Turned out it was a dirty lens. I cleaned it with a Q-tip & some rubbing alcohol, put the cover back on and it worked fine.
It has acted up on me once since then, and I just pull the cover off and clean the lens again and it works fine.

Beg to differ, SONY SUBSIDIARY thats like saying that mercury is not ford.

None the less i never said it sucked i just said that i hate it because of its arcadish feel.

I wasnt directing that at anyone in particular.  Sony publishes GT, but Polyphony Digital actually makes the game.

But about the arcadish feel argument, I'll stick by oldraven's post.  Other than the fact that there's no damage and the AI sucks, I dont see anything Arcadish about the game.  Try barreling into a corner at the Nurb in a Shelby Cobra and tell me what happens.

Looks like my PS2 is coming apart this week end... Hell, I've got nothing to lose.

Thanks for the tip Brent.

I fixed my PS2 the same way.

I don't really play sim racing games anymore. Actually I don't play too much of anything anymore. I just don't have the time. GT3 was the last sim I really played (or I should say owned). I remember going from completely loathing the Laguna Seca race to absolutely loving it once I learned the course.

Forza is a awesome game as well, as I love the customization. I have to say my favorite track is Nuremberg. Favorite car: GT40 (the new one). That car sounds awesome blasting though the stereo. I'd hit the throttle just to hear it. Secret weapon to the unsuspecting: Skyline. lol. It's so funny to watch that car accelerate like crazy on the other person's screen at the start of the race.

But may favorite racer of All-Time is Burnout: Takedown! I. LOVE. That Game!!!!

Burnout Revenge is 10 times better, actually.  I love that they put crash mode back more like Burnout 2 instead of B3's stupid tokens and stuff...they limited the ways to crash a lot.  I highly recommend you try it if you love B3.

Nuremberg was a puppies war criminal trial and a Bavarian city. Nurburgring is the race track. ;)

It is awesome, but if you're watching your kid while you play you have to pause the race 17 times before you finish the lap. :P Of course, Coira's usually on my lap as my co-driver.

I havent played a burnout game in a while, have they changed all that much with them or are they the same ol cause as much  as you can in one instance. I just never really got back into them because they all started to blend together for me as they released one every 6 months or so.

They got it all right in Burnout Revenge, so if youre going to play one, play that one.

Ok cool, i know they had released quite a few and I stopped paying attention to them. Its highly doubtful since Forza is out on the 29th that i will have time for other games so maybe i will grab it when i have had enough of FM2.

Haha I can promise you that Burnout Revenge is extremely addicting if youre not careful.  Burnout 2 had an awesome crash mode, but the racing was 'meh'.  Then Burnout 3 came out with much better racing, but they effed up the crash mode with stupid tokens you had to hit.  Burnout revenge had the racing from B3 (with an added twist that is AWESOME) and the crashing from Burnout 2 (with the most genious addition EVER) all in 1 package.
