bonivelle ssei

Ok my friend bought a 94 bonivelle ssei, its the v6 supercharged, but today once the car goes into drive soon after it starts to drop idle, and the dash starts flickering, then it stalls out. He just bought the thing and is flipping out. anyone on here know anything about this thing? This is a first step on trying to figure this thing out. He also said the check engine light is been going on and off. any input would be nice

Yes,it may set a memory trouble code but it will not effect anything except freeway gas milage as it locks the torque converter to drop engine rpm on the freeway to improve gas milage it is common on gm products for it to be faulty. Will it hurt the car? Not at all

The connector may be blue or yellow ive seen a few clear its not hard to find and will have 2-4 wires coming from it.

There is a test connector under the dash on the drivers side. It has two rows of six terminals.
With KOEO jumper the two terminals on the upper far right.
The check engine light will blink the codes.
Do not start the engine with the jumper on.
