The front end on my car is about 150 pounds lighter than when it left the factory. With the stock springs it sat much higher than it does now and as shown in the pic. The current springs up front are Moog part #8598. Before I redid the suspension it was starting to get the old gasser look as the rears were starting to sag. For me, that's actually good to hear.. I don't have anything but a motor, and aod installed. How much extra do you thing everything else weighs? driveshaft, exhaust, ,A/C, hood, rad, headers, battery, upper intake, TB, etc.... Che feedback Reply #33 – January 01, 2011, 03:15:21 PM The A/C components weigh in between 50 and 55 pounds in total. My cylinder heads took another 50 pounds or so off the front as well. Powermaster hi-torque mini-starter weighs 12 pounds as opposed to the stocker which weighs 30 (yes 30 pounds). FWIW -- a smog pump and bracket weigh a little over 20 pounds as well.... Aftermarket headers are a huge weight saving over the factory log manifolds that these cars came with.A full size battery? 40 pounds or so by my estimate. Quote Selected
Che feedback Reply #34 – January 01, 2011, 03:24:04 PM Let's hope I cram a ton of weight back in it...lol I ordered my headers today... then I can put everything back in after they get bolted on... Quote Selected
Che feedback Reply #35 – January 02, 2011, 06:08:36 AM Jerry, the Sport sat up even after I swapped the springs and everything else until I drove it a little. Then it "settled down" so to speak. Quote Selected
