1988 LA3 EEC for sale Reply #2 – June 13, 2006, 07:01:13 PM It is the EEC used in the '88 TurboCoupe 5-speeds. It has a higher clock speed which helps with performance and a smoother idle. It has a more aggressive timing map also. TurboFord guys argue over whether this or the 86 SVO EEC is the best. I have one in my Cougar. It was one of the best mods I have done to the car. It starts up everytime in less cranks than the stocker.It's pretty rare as well as it was used only in 88 5 speeds. Quote Selected
