Mac shorty headers on -84 cat

well both being a fox body.... i wouldnt see why not.... but someone else will double that info as i know there are people here with 351W powered foxes.....

i have mac long tubes in my tbird with a 302 for a fox mustang with a 302 and they fit fine. only problem iv heard with shorties is the steering shaft might rub a little and you got to crush a tube a little. do you have a floor shifter or manual?  sometimes the column linkage gets in the way.

I do have a column shifter, that's why I want to use shorties, because i really can't see the linkage getting in the way using shorties. Also, I guess since these headers are for 351W, they won't get in the way for the steering shaft, but that's just a guess. So i really need to know if Mac's shorties will fit in my cat.

basically i beleive its safe to say..... almost all drivetrain related parts from mustang will swap into cougar/tbird fox body.... besides the driveshaft.... and different lengths on rear ends n so forth but engine wise its all the same im sure. so... 351W headers for fox stang....work on fox cougar/tbird

Just remember macs don't have the header ,So if you plan on takin them back off there bitch to put back on.

i second that,

but also,... i know on a 302 shorties will fit, but the increased deck height and that column shifter im not sure at all. only because its so tight stock, but the 351 shorties might be bent different and clear. rember fox mustangs dont have that type of shifter. i know theirs people hear with column shift cars, and people with 351 cars, but i dont know of any  off the top of my head with 351 and column shift. worst comes to worse, just convert it over.
