Functioning EQ pics!

Just wanted to post pics of my functional Ford EQ with my aftermarket headunit and amp.  Kenwood MP3 player, Ford EQ, Lanzar amp, JL Audio speakers. Its a nice combination, I absolutely love it!

Thanks to Amooset and ThunderChicken for providing the information to  allow me to do this. You guys rock!

EQ on, stereo off.

Wow! Very nice. I've been casually looking around for a head unit like yours that sits flush and has complimentary colors to the dashes on these cars.

Sweet man.  Looks really good.  I originally had planned for my EQ to be wired in so that it would at least light up and look functional but do nothing, but as my system is so ghetto I've had to get in there and do  to it enough times that I just pulled the harness on the EQ to make extra room.  Now all you need is a rotary heater panel and you'll be pimpin the uber-dash!

You're right, I've done it all parts swapping wise.  Tripminder, 140mph speedo, TC switch panels...but if I wanted a Taurus head unit I would be driving a Taurus. Lever'd climate controls all the way, baby. :)

The headunit is a Kenwood KDC-MP8013.  Its about 5 years old, hence why it actually looks nice and not the wet dream of a Civic owner. One part of the head unit was silver, which I removed, painted black and reinstalled. It came with a flush mount kit and now it makes sense both style and performance wise with the EQ working.

If anything ever happens to this unit, I'll spend whatever it takes to get it fixed.  It matches so well its pretty much irreplacable to me.

Got the same unit in my Mark VIII...with a matching Kenwood EQ.  Most people think my cars have factory stereos just when they look at 'em.  And I love it that way.

That's the Tripminder computer.  Gives you all sorts of calculations such as average fuel economy, instant economy, miles-to-empty, etc.  It was a very pimp option in it's day and is still sought after by many of us.  Just do a search on this board on the term tripminder and you'll find out more than you care to know.

And its built into the cluster if you have a full digital cluster. I love that thing.

Yup, it could very well be the only non-Fox car I ever own. :)
