I like Danica just as much as the next guy...but I have a new fave....

Milka Duno.  She's got beauty, brains (she has 4 Masters Degrees) and can drive a mean race car.  She's running one of the Daytona Prototype in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series.  (CITGO/ Pontiac).

I agree! After 500 miles and 3-4 hours, where are you? Right back where you started. What's the point in that?

What's the difference between that and any other racing series except drag and rally?  After 2, 3.....hell 24 hours where do you end up?  Same place...that isn't a valid reason to hate Nascar...thats just being ignorant.

I happen to like Nascar, but you won't find me watching ultra extensive coverage over on Speed....You'll be lucky to catch me watching every race or even a qualifying session.  I just enjoy it...nothing wrong with that.  I can't stand dirt track or Formula 1 but I won't rant til the end of the Earth about it.  I agree that Speed is just idiotic with their coverage of the sport.

Mmmm...gonna have to go with Chuck on this one. Danica is good looking and all that but she's just a strange little girl...

Speed is a channel not worth having at this point. Since the cable here sucks, I was so happy to get Speed with my dish subscription. How disappointed am I...two years of rednecks, with the occasional 4-year-old documentary of a muscle car, and several days' worth of car auctions. It's barely a blip in my channel listing. And what's worse? When NASCAR season wraps up in November...you think, gosh, that's the end if it! And then you have to endure 3 more months of pre- and post-season NASCAR . I guess at Speed Channel there are only 2 seasons: NASCAR and almost NASCAR.

when i lost speed channel about 3-4 years ago it was all wrc and f1 and boats and anything that you raced, they had. a couple documentary shows and a few build up shows. it was a nice balance. I could catch supercross, f1 practice replay and then wrc at night, and scca (speedvision cup) racing on the weekends, man it was happy land.

I lose speed (stupid cable) and then I spend some time with my dad this past 8 months (he has it) and all it is is nascar with a english prick building a bike followed by more nascar followed by a car auction followed by nascar.

2 wheel tuesday (used to have RACING-moto gt) is now just nascar tuesday with a side of py motorcycle shows.

I'm not a fan of NASCAR, but I do have one complaint:

The current line-up of weekend "wrench-turning shows" is terrible.
Has anybody seen some of these? If it's not two rednecks jacking up a Dodge Ram, it's the "Two Guys' Garage" crew yammering about their seemingly endless list of sponsors.
I'm so disgusted with it that I don't even try to watch...

I happen to like NASCAR myself but it is boring to watch on TV. There are only a few races a year that I really watch because the increased chances of wrecks and whatnot. Those being tracks like Bristol or Richmond. All the big tracks like Michigan and California suck big ones. Other than that, I don't watch it. It may be on for background noise, but that's about it.

I actually don't enjoy watching any kind of racing on TV. It is all the same. It doesn't matter if its Rally cars, F1 cars, drag cars, or NASCAR. NONE of them go anywhere. So thundergrowls point is true however, it includes ALL forms of motorsports, not just NASCAR.

As far as SPEED goes, they're in the pooper. I watched some of the NASCAR coverage but it's annoying that it's on constantly and they keep showing the same . I mean come on, "NASCAR: 5 years after Earnhardt" Give me a break! Their shows suck and nothing ticks me off more than the "Consumer Product Showcase."

They really need to work on their programming. I really enjoyed the "Lost Drive-in" with Bruce Dern. So what, they brought it back, kindof, it's all halfa$$ed.
"Pinks" is okay sometimes but mostly really lame.
"Two Guys Garage" the washed up boys (well, 1 of them now) from the old "Shadetree Mechanic" on TNN, that show is too sponsor oriented (as cougarcragar said).
Even the muscle car shows are no longer entertaining.
