you older guyes will appreciate this February 21, 2006, 08:44:39 PM my dad donated his old stereo and his entire 8-track collection to me. i am listening to some of the cooles music ever made. i have some moody blues in right now but a minute ago i was listening to moe bandy. i have tapes from almost every old band ive heard of and some that i havent. unfortunately some of them are so worn out that they wont play anymore and of corse its the best of them that are worn out (hard to figgure out why) Quote Selected

I also came across all my parents old records and 8-tracks. I've been putting them on cd as I find them to keep the originals in good shape.Oh, and I did get a huge collection of Johnny Cash. you older guyes will appreciate this Reply #6 – February 21, 2006, 11:12:52 PM I donated the 8 track player from a 77 mustang II to my friend becasue he had the facory original 8 track to go with it.You wouldn't happen to have Burn by Deep Purple or Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf?I have a small collection my self of 8 tracks and vinyl. I have the exstended version of Ana Goda Da Vida on vinyl it takes one entire side of the record. The the album that kicks all others the sound track to the movie Heavy Metal on vinyl. Quote Selected

(used record stores ROCK). My friend also just gave me an old "JC Penney" stereo, complete with stacker turntable, 8-track, cassete player/recorder and radio with digital AND buttstuffog tuning. It's also got a quadriphonic output. I'm thinking of trying to get it cleaned up and put it on ebay, because for one I don't have room to keep it in my bedroom and because it's too nice to put out in the garage.I love 'vintage' electronics.
